The Harrison Assessments uses two theories in its methodology. The first is referred to as Performance-Enjoyment Theory and the other is the Paradox Theory. This theory states that an individual will perform more effectively in a job if he enjoys the tasks associated with the job, has interests that relate to the position and the work environment that he’s corresponds to the work environment he prefers. This means that enjoyment in all aspects of a job signifies a high level of performance assuming that the individual has the education and training for that particular job.Jung and Freud recognize that individuals deal with paradoxes or in other words opposition in all things. The Paradox Theory includes a series of principles that could be applied to individual make-up and to organizational dynamics.
The Paradox Theory explains the two categories of traits – Dynamic and Gentle. For example in communication there
there’s the dynamic trait Frank and gentle trait Diplomatic. If a person’s range of behavior extends to both the
dynamic and gentle range of the paradox then there’s what is called balance. Or in other words, that individual
will likely to be successful in this aspect of his life.
By measuring traits, the Harrison Assessments is able predict how an individual manages each paradox.
CAREER GUIDE FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS
Harrison Assessments provide the expert advice for parents need in determining the career of their children.
By letting their children take the 30-minute assessment questionnaire, parents will better understand the talents
and capabilities of their children, thus they will be in a better position to guide their children in pursuing
college education.
The Enjoyment-Performance Theory, one of the methods used by Harrison Assessments, comes
to the fore. This theory states that an individual will perform more effectively if that individual enjoys the
tasks associated to the path he s pursuing. Research found out that enjoyment of such tasks correlate with good
performance and eventual success.
Harrison Assessments, thus, eliminates the guessing game associated with what
to take up in college. A miscue oftentimes ends up in waste of time, effort and money.
